Hi, This is new code, that was supposed to give a small security 
improvement SHOULD other (currently unknown) things go wrong. 

mtr works for you? I think you have IPV6 disabled, and it tries to do
things to the IPV6 socket, which errors out with the above error. 

I've patched my working copy (0.76) to fix this.
