00:00:30.075 PATM: Disabling IDT e patch handler c0344888
This blows up the log file significantly (up to several 100 MB) and has
also significant negative side effects on the system performance of my
Athlon XP-2000+.
Upstream, svn commits 12524, 12525, 12527, 12532, 12534 deal with this
issue by rate limiting the PATM messages to 255 repititions (the commits
above partly revert each other again, to keep the ABI for saved snapshots
compatible). The attached patch, based on the aforementioned upstream
commits, applies against virtualbox-ose 1.6.2-dfsg-6 and 1.6.6-dfsg-1 and
fixes the problem for me.
