In both name and text the FAL is derived from the AL, but it's not the same license. The same file snprintf.c (with minor modifications) is in the liquidwar package, which discovered ( bug #499317 ): a) On Linux, the snprintf from libc is used instead. b) Liquidwar's version is dual-licensed under the GPL and FAL.
