Package: sysklogd Version: 1.4.1-18 Severity: normal
/etc/cron.weekly/sysklogd does not restart klogd after rotating log files. This prevents klogd from logging subsequent kernel messages. Adding the following line to the end of /etc/cron.weekly/syslogd probably fixes the problem (not tested): /etc/init.d/klogd restart > /dev/null. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-lustre-1.6.5.1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages sysklogd depends on: ii klogd [linux-kernel-lo 1.4.1-18 Kernel Logging Daemon ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries sysklogd recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute is operated by Genome Research Limited, a charity registered in England with number 1021457 and a company registered in England with number 2742969, whose registered office is 215 Euston Road, London, NW1 2BE. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
