Package: qemu Version: 0.6.1+20050407-1 Severity: wishlist if i use the "-cdrom /dev/cdrom" and i select eject media from within the qemu guest OS, i would like the disc to be ejected from the physical machine. also, if i insert a new disc, i would like the guest OS to be aware that a new disc was inserted.
i know i can use the "-monitor stdio" command-line option and use the "eject /dev/cdrom" command to unmount a disc within the guest OS. also, i can use "change cdrom /dev/cdrom" to mount a new disc. however, this isn't very apparent to novice/standard users. implementation would be a matter of automating these operations based using "eject /dev/cdrom" and listening to cues on the host OS. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (600, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.7-1-k7 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages qemu depends on: ii bochsbios 2.1.1+20041109-3 BIOS for the Bochs emulator ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libsdl1.2debi 1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20041007-4.1 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii vgabios 0.5a-1 VGA BIOS software for the Bochs an ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
