thanks

I'm sorry to inform that... This bug is still open :-(

http://code.google.com/p/cherokee/issues/detail?id=111
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=477946

Although it is supposed to be fixed by 0.9, it is still present as of
0.9.3: If I open cherokee-admin, poke at several config options, and
close the browser tab _without_ hitting save, the changes will not be
reflected in /etc/cherokee.conf.

AFAICT, the changes _do_ get stored in the browser's memory (as
cookies?), as entering again the administrative interface _does_ show
the changed values, but they are not reflected to the configuration
file. I believe this behaviour to be even more confusing than the
previous one (as now at least many people will be led to believe the
configuration was changed).

My suggestion would be to add an alertbox upon attempting to close the
tab or navigate away from the cherokee-admin interface.

I added a short comment on the Cherokee BTS, but it seems Google won't
allow me to tag the bug as "open".

Thanks
