I can confirm the tearing problems when using texturedVideo. A disabling Option would be really nice. The ubuntu guys have already implemented the 11_hw_overlay_option.diff patch: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel By the Way: There is an option to select the adaptor in xine, in the options -> video -> video display method dialog select overlay, and the tearing goes away.
