Hi I'm not sure if this comes from some Debian patch but I guess so. When I try to get help for some keyword, iterpreter suggests me to install python2.5-doc: >>> help('for') Sorry, topic and keyword documentation is not available because the Python HTML documentation files could not be found. If you have installed them, please set the environment variable PYTHONDOCS to indicate their location. On Debian GNU/{Linux,Hurd} systems you have to install the corresponding pythonX.Y-doc package, i.e. python2.5-doc. However there is no such package in archives. I guess it had a bad license or so and was removed, but the reference to the package should be also dropped. - -- Michal Čihař | http://cihar.com | http://blog.cihar.com - -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25.16-0.1-default (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=cs_CZ.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages python2.5 depends on: ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.5-1 high-quality block-sorting file co ii libc6 2.7-14 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdb4.5 4.5.20-13 Berkeley v4.5 Database Libraries [ ii libncursesw5 5.6+20080925-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libreadline5 5.2-3 GNU readline and history libraries ii libsqlite3-0 3.5.9-5 SQLite 3 shared library ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8g-13 SSL shared libraries ii mime-support 3.44-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap ii python2.5-minimal 2.5.2-11.1 A minimal subset of the Python lan python2.5 recommends no packages.
