Yes, adding
Option "AccelMethod" "XAA"
to the driver section worked. I did not have to add
Option "XaaNoOffscreenPixmap" "on"
Grumble... I had a lot more problems with the intel i915
driver originally but they said that XAA was made the
default again because they couldn't fix it for Lenny, so I
didn't think to try this.
