thanks

Hello,

sorry, now it's even WORSE, I get:

Richte linux-image-2.6.27 ein (2.6.27-10.00.Custon) ...
Please manually create an initrd image

but I built that kernel package with --initrd!

First, this is not a user-friendly message. Create HOW? Is the user
expected to RTFM for even such simple and predicatable pieces of information?

Second, when guessing abou the reasons:

 - I was upgrading from another kernel package (2.6.27-10.00.Custom)
which originally was built without --initrd. But anyhow, upgrades of
that kind did work with former versions of kernel-package so that's a
   major regression from my POV.
 - while rebuilding the kernel with --initrd I had to guess a lot in order
to kill the relevant stamp-file to make the thing work. Otherwise it
just did NOT procceed despite of having different options. I really
suggest a review of the stamp-file dependency scheme/design.

Regards,
Eduard.
