Is this sufficient or would you prefer additional mentioning of this behaviour
in the man page?

       -n, --nice-mode
Turn off nice-mode. Nice-mode checks if there is a package
‘suggesting’ or ‘recommending’ the package. If one is found,
the package will be marked as in use, or, when --show-deps is
used, print out the package suggesting the package as if it were
              depending on it.

If you like to to see the man page updated please write an additional bug
report and optionally provide a patch :)

Already reported as bug #488329 "deborphan: splitting -n into --ignore-suggests
and --ignore-recommends would be helpful."
