Yes it does, it has a built-in ndrv for MacOS.
But the card shows identical problems in MacOSX if I remove the
extension /System/Library/Extensions/AppleNDRV/ATI ROM Xtender.
This 1.4MB file contains 16 code fragments for different ATI cards,
each installing a more recent ndrv in the system.
I could extract the single fragment related to my 9600 card
(ATY,AlteraC), but this is still a 110 KBytes powerpc code...
