tags 299618 confirmed found 299619 3.2.4-1 thanks I actually can reproduce this bug. It happens to me when I switch from my work network to my home network: at work, our DHCP server sends WINS information and at home, my own DHCP server does not send any WINS information.
And, right now, in /etc/samba/dhcp.conf, I have the information about my work WINS servers...:-) Apparently, it just requires someone with a good understanding of the samba-common dhcp hook script to fix it.... --
