tags 349046 wontfix thanks Since I splitted the original bug report in many pieces, several discussions happened with upstream about the default smb.conf
The mutual agreement is that we shouldn't provide a too complex smb.conf file but more rely on defaults and let users fine tune their settings themselves. In the specific case of the "addprinter|delprinter" commands, Steve also made th einteresting comment that sample scripts also depend on the underlying printing system. So, indeed, different sample scripts would need to be provided fo most printing systems...which seems overkill to me. Hence tagging this bug report as "wontfix". Please untag it if you disagree but people who do this should be warned that I will ask them to provide the scripts...:-) --
