I saw no relation between a crash in the preferences dialog and the audio output driver used by Iceweasel, so it took me a while to try to change that setting (I suspected of many many other things). > And, if I remember well, the crash disappeared after a reboot and > never reappeared. > > So, maybe this bug is a false alarm (maybe something else was > causing the crash?) and should be closed :-) I guess that there are many things that can make Iceweasel crash when opening the preferences dialog, so without more information (e.g, a more detailed description of the steps and conditions needed to reproduce this bug) I'd close this one. You cannot reproduce the bug anymore so you cannot know whether it has been fixed or not. Also, it was reported with Iceweasel 2.0 (now we have version 3).
