    I wonder how I didn't realise this myself. I'm investigating it, thanks a
lot for the report.

    About shipping 0.6.12 or 0.6.14, I haven't changed anything in dhelp that
could speed up the index rebuilding (OTOH it doesn't depend that much on me),
so if anything it must have been a change in pdftotext or pstotext. Are you
sure you had the same packages installed?
