3.9.1 Prompting in maintainer scripts Package maintainer scripts may prompt the user if necessary. Prompting should be done by communicating through a program, such as debconf, which conforms to the Debian Configuration management specification, version 2 or higher. Prompting the user by other means, such as by hand[8], is now deprecated. Right, it doesn't say "must use debconf". There are now less than 5 packages still prompting manually. I'll just wait till you are the only one remaining, and then file a bug for s/should/must/. -- | Lucas Nussbaum | [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.lucas-nussbaum.net/ | | jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG: 1024D/023B3F4F | -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
