I'm not able to reproduce that on my devel machine.

| $ ulimit -c
| unlimited
| $ sleep 100 &
| [1] 23173
| $ kill -11 23173
| [1]  + segmentation fault (core dumped)  sleep 100
| $ ls -al core 
| -rw------- 1 waldi waldi 311296 21. Okt 10:13 core
| $ uname -a
| Linux waldi 2.6.26-1-686 #1 SMP Tue Sep 30 01:23:34 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
