Again, 1.5 years later, I still "deeply suspect that this bug is over for a while and was probably fixed during the various fixes that happened for 3.0.23d.".
Later in the bug story, Joe C.K. Yau mentioned some problems which are probably unrelated and lead to some investigation with Steve, concluded by "there is probably something wrong with your setup, you should check with upstream support lists".
