Package: menu
Version: 2.1.40
Severity: minor
Hi,
Section 4.2 of the menu documentation (/usr/share/doc/menu/menu.txt.gz) says
you should include postinst and postrm calls to update-menus in your package.
However, according to man 1 dh_installmenu:
It also automatically generates the postinst and postrm commands
needed to interface with the debian menu package. These commands are
inserted into the maintainer scripts by dh_installdeb.
I believe that Section 4.2 should be amended to only recommend the additions of
the postinst and postrm calls if dh_installmenu is for some reason not used in
the building of the package.
Thanks,
Daniel Moerner
