I have a similar (or the same) problem, dhclient fails to obtain an IP address from my AP with a 64-bit kernel 2.6.26.5. However, as https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=436923#c1 indicates, this seems to be fixed in 2.6.27, since with 2.6.27.4 everything works fine.
Sorry for not giving more detailed information, but /var/log/wpa_supplicant.wlan0.log is empty (how do I enable logging?). In any case, here are the stanzas from /etc/network/interfaces: ,---- | allow-hotplug wlan0 | iface wlan0 inet dhcp | wpa-driver wext | wpa-ap-scan 1 | wpa-scan-ssid 1 | wpa-ssid "hidden" | wpa-proto WPA RSN | wpa-pairwise CCMP | wpa-group CCMP | wpa-key-mgmt WPA-PSK | wpa-psk "top-secret" `---- Should the bug reassigned to linux-2.6 (or cloned)?
