OK, Bruno mentioned me in private something like "please help"...:) So, how to "unfuzzy" things ? First, take your package source tree.... cd debian/po for i in *.po ; do sed -i 's/computer\. If/computer\. If/g' $i sed -i 's/and enjoy/and enjoy\. If/g' $i done Then, in the original templates file, locate the place(s) where a double space follows "on your computer." and remove the extra space In the same file, find why there a a double space between "and" and "enjoy". This is *very* probably because "and" is at the end of a line and an extra space follows it, at the end of this line. Remove it. Once done, run "debconf-updatepo". If you did all this well, the formerly complete translations in debian/po should not have *any* fuzzy string. To check this: cd debian/po msgfmt -o /dev/null --statistics de.po This should mention "NN translated strings" only. If translations are fuzzied, then something was screwed in what you did..:-)
