Don't build the nvidia modules for a xen kernel. It won't run there. Compile it for the host kernel (which shouldn't be the xen kernel). The nvidia drivers won't work under a hypervisor, only on a natively running linux kernel. Use linux-image-2.6.26-1-686 or linux-image-2.6.26-1-686-bigmem, not linux-image-2.6.26-1-xen-686.
