Package: nvidia-glx Version: 177.80-1 Severity: normal When running render_bench, 177.80 is dead slow. For an example:
Test Xrender doing general nearest scaled Over blends 173.14.09: 0.356 sec 177.80: 374.124 sec It's like Xrender acceleration is turned off when using 177.80. I've tested with both 2.6.26 and 2.6.27, same result. / Anders -- Package-specific info: uname -r: Linux eckert.bostrom.dyndns.org 2.6.26-1-amd64 #1 SMP Thu Oct 9 16:53:32 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux /proc/version: Linux version 2.6.26-1-amd64 (Debian 2.6.26-8) ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 4.1.3 20080623 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.2-23)) #1 SMP Thu Oct 9 16:53:32 UTC 2008 /proc/driver/nvidia/version: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 8400 GS (rev a1) -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (51, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (50, 'unstable'), (40, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=sv_SE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to sv_SE.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages nvidia-glx depends on: ii libc6 2.7-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3.2-1 GCC support library ii libgl1-me 7.0.3-6 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii nvidia-ke 177.80-1 NVIDIA binary kernel module for Li ii nvidia-ke 177.80-1+2.6.27.4-10.00.Custom NVIDIA binary kernel module for Li ii x11-commo 1:7.3+18 X Window System (X.Org) infrastruc ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime nvidia-glx recommends no packages.
