So I suggest trying to remove hals-cups-utils (if installed), which looks
like is the cause of these problems.
hal-cups-utils appears to have been installed during the lenny install
process:
# ls -ld /var/lib/dpkg/info/hal-cups-utils.list /cdrom
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 2008-08-22 18:18 /cdrom -> media/cdrom
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 534 2008-08-22 18:49
/var/lib/dpkg/info/hal-cups-utils.list
Maybe this is not a cups fault, but it is a nuisance. If this other
package is the fault, is it possible to re-assign the bug to the other
package?
The package name is hal-cups-utils (not hals-cups-utils)
I will see what happens if the package is removed.
