Not in testing/ustable since we are during freeze. And IIRC when I saw
Roberto's announce, Debian lenny was already in freeze.

I'm uploading a new version to experimental, but it will pass trough
the new queue because the API changed (and consequently the package
name).

If you need the package right now, I suggest to install devscripts and
svn-buildpackage, then:

  debcheckout lua-lpeg
  cd lua-lpeg/tags
  ln -s ../tarballs .
  cd 0.9-1
  svn-buildpackage -us -uc
  ls -l ../build-area/

The same works for building every lua package using any tagged release,
even the ones uploaded to experimental. As you can see here:

  http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=gareuselesinge&comaint=yes

there are already some updates you may like, but that need to wait lenny
to be released before they can "migrate" to unstable.

Cheers.
