Package: sudo
Followup-For: Bug #477697

Hi,

I tried to reproduce this bug but where unable to do so.

What I tried:
- Invalidate /etc/hosts
- Change hostname of the running system
- Add option !fqdn to /etc/sudoers
- Move /usr/lib/sendmail and /usr/sbin/sendmail to different locations

All I did was trying to reproduce it with the informations from the
Ubuntu post and the informations you.

All I get is an error message, but sudo functionality is still given.
I guess thats OK.

My sudo version is 1.6.9p17-1.

Could you try if you still encounter this bug with a newer sudo version?

Best Regards,
Patrick
