I seem to remember that work areas were moved to /var/lib/twiki/working/work_areas according to default LocalSite.cfg However, there's still a /var/www/pub/_work_areas/ which, btw contains an .html file... which would be inactive, since <Directory "/var/www/twiki/pub"> has AllowOverride None in apache.conf (provided it's used by the apache config)... I think this is at leas misleading, and maybe dangerous, if the .htaccess is not active by default, and a badly written plugin could still use that dir... Removing the dir completely seems safer to me.
