Hi, currently there is no version of sphinx in Debian that could generate searchable HTML-based documentation. Even Ubuntu recently sync'ed this broken version. I tried updating the package to recent 0.4.3 and it seems to be working -- package appears to be lintian clean and generates proper docs. I have attached the Debian-diff to 0.4.3. It is prepared as an NMU that fixes #495559, #502397 and #503888.
Do you want me to NMU in case you are busy right now? I looks like the updated package is working fine, but it might be that I have missed something, as I am not that familiar with this package and could not find additional docs in debian/ about what might be tricky...
