My distribution is *not* testing. I track testing by default, but
in fact, I have a mix of testing and unstable packages (I often
use "apt-get -t unstable" when I want to get the latest version
of a package, e.g. when some bug is fixed or before reporting a
bug, to test the latest version too).

Now, the point of newer version checking in reportbug is to inform
the user that he doesn't have the latest version of the package
and that the bug he's seeing may have already been fixed (in which
case there's no need to report a bug).

So, I think that reportbug should look at unstable, or at least
the latest release amongst those listed by "apt-cache policy",
probably excluding "experimental" (those who want to check
"experimental" would probably use advanced or expert mode,
I suppose), or this could be configurable.
