Hello,I had similar problems. It is caused by the AllowEmptyInput option (mentioned in your log, also see the changelog.gz and Google). The only way I could resolve that issue was to remove xserver-xorg-input-evdev and set AEI to "off". When I tried AEI "on" and "evdev" driver, some keys, eg. cursor, Num-/, backspace and others didn't work.
