Package: manpages-dev Version: 3.13-2 Severity: normal man 2 gethostname says: ---8<--- #include <unistd.h>
int gethostname(char *name, size_t len); int sethostname(const char *name, size_t len); --->8--- However, gethostname is not defined there, it is just an external there. Thus using the unistd include does not work. Since I haven't found anything on this issue I hope I didn't miss something important, and just created noise. :) -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages manpages-dev depends on: ii manpages 3.13-2 Manual pages about using a GNU/Lin manpages-dev recommends no packages.
