Unfortunately this patch isn't entirely correct. You don't need libpam-ldap (nss and pam are completely separate things).
Why would you suggest libnss-ldap? The user installing nss-updatedb should now which service he wants to cache, shouldn't he? nss-updatedb happily works with e.g. libnss-pgsql.
