Perl's error messages have improved for this one: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ /usr/lib/fvwm/2.5.26/FvwmTabs Malformed UTF-8 character (1 byte, need 2, after start byte 0xc2) at /usr/lib/fvwm/2.5.26/FvwmTabs line 885. That file's encoded in latin-1, and can be patched by converting it to utf-8.
