Hm. This version works fine for me (and I suspected that you're using version 1.1.92-0.1 from experimental). Could you find a list of packages which were updated just before the messages started to appear? BTW, there are many similar bugs in Debian BTS (http://merkel.debian.org/~don/cgi/search.cgi?phrase=Locking+assertion+failure&skip=20&order_field=&order_operator=STRA&max_results=10&next=Next).
