I had a bunch of custom udev rules defined for vaious USB enclosures and
memory sticks. I did this to get my system as stock as possible
I removed them and the problem has gone away.
Now for some debugging on my custom rules :-(
ps axfw showed, before I removed my custom rules:
1795 tty2 Ss 0:00 /bin/bash
3458 tty2 R+ 0:00 \_ ps axfw
1860 ? S<s 0:00 udevd --daemon
2126 ? S< 0:00 \_ udevd --daemon
2127 ? S< 0:00 \_ /sbin/vol_id --label /dev/psaux
2195 ? S< 0:00 /bin/sh -e /lib/udev/net.agent
3457 ? S< 0:00 \_ sleep 1
