Package: epiphany-gecko Version: 2.22.3-8+b1 Severity: normal Since getting a new machine (which is amd64 as opposed to i386) I've noticed that sometimes downloading a file yields the Firefox download window rather than the Epiphany downloader. Sometimes the Firefox window works as normal (apart from being in the wrong application :-)); other times, it appears empty, and another empty grey window appears, small and square, for a few seconds. I think the latter only occurs when the download finishes before the download window has had a chance to pop up, and I suspect it of secretly being Firefox's "your shipment of download has arrived" toaster popup; if I resize it in time, I can watch a blue box slide in and out from the top.
I can reproduce the issue reliably on the Download Album buttons on eMusic.com, but as that site requires registration that won't be too useful. I've seen it elsewhere, but can't remember where. I initially thought non-free flash was the culprit, but it's reproducible without it, I discover. Perusing the source of http://www.emusic.com/album/Caspian-The-Four-Trees-MP3-Download/11006378.html (for example) I see that some javascript sets the target attribute of the Download link to be an iframe. However, disabling javascript yields the same issue, so it's not clear why eMusic pages should cause this behaviour.
