Operating very slowing with the mouse wheel (up/down) everything
works fine; rolling it a higher speed, the volume changes in an
unpredictable manner, jumping higher and lower.
The problem shows up even rolling the wheel over the thin slide
that appears clicking on the icon (the one with the plus and minus
signs), but not operating on the alsa mixer levels.
The mouse wheel works with others applications; I do _not_ have
the imwheel program running.
My xorg.conf setting for the mouse:

but I've tested it even with the "mouse" driver and removing
most of the settings (my mouse is a Logitech LX7).
