I added the note simply because other parts of the package refer to the
logo - including advice that the smarty logo can be freely included in
websites using smarty. As the logo was previously shipped, I felt it
useful to counter the advice in the rest of the package to clarify the
situation from a Debian perspective, without making the removal of the
logo into a larger change across other files.

Is the News item a nuisance?
