I got a reply from the author. The author said only the win32 binary was
under the non-free "freeware" license, and the source under the zlib
license. Now the "freeware" link has been removed from the web page.

New upstream version 0.63 has more stuff in readme.txt file, but the
source files (except UnAlz.h) still lack legal notices.
