For some reason the pidgin-musictracker people have made some extra
dependencies on the MSN protocol. For the MSN protocol to work, you
either need to use the msn-pecan package and protocol instead of the
standard one in pidgin or you need to use pidgin 2.5.0
Just to clarify, this is not a pidgin-musictracker limitation.
The implementation of the MSN protocol in pidgin prior to 2.5.0 does not
support status messages.
There is nothing pidgin-musictracker can do to fix that.
To have MSN status messages work *at all*, you need to use pidgin 2.5.0 or
later, or the 3rd party MSN protocol plugin msn-pecan.
If MSN status messages are working, pidgin-musictracker will use them.
