Package: strace Version: 4.5.17+cvs080723-2 Severity: minor
The strace utility would be better located in /bin rather than /usr/bin. The reason for this is that there may be cases where you are trying to trace a system fault that occurs before /usr/bin is mounted (for example a fault occuring in mount or udev). -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-486 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages strace depends on: ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries strace recommends no packages. strace suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
