Package: iftop Version: 0.17-3 Severity: normal When I use the -B command line option or the "use-bytes" config-file option, most of the bandwidth rates on the screen change to bytes... but the numbers in the top line of the screen do not.
A one-line patch to fix this problem was posted in the Gentoo bug-tracking system: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101926 That patch was also reported to the iftop-users list and appears to have been committed to the upstream CVS (but not until after the release of v0.17). http://lists.beasts.org/pipermail/iftop-users/2006-June/thread.html On a related note, the man page description of the "max-bandwidth" config option should probably be updated to mention that the value specified should always be in bits-per-second (regardless of the use-bytes/-B setting).
