Package: python-mode
Version: 1:1.0-3.1
Followup-For: Bug #473232

while dealing with #475939 I've forwarded users to install python-mode,
but some had problems due to outdated depends (as this very bug report
mentioned).

Unfortunately it looks like Matthias has lost any interest in maintaining this
pacakge healthy, but that should not stop Debian from being in a good
shape.

Indeed python-mode works for me fine with emacs22 so #424973 is indeed
obsolete.

Since pycomplete uses pymacs, it better be in depends on it indeed.

Since all emacs versions in sid provide emacsen, I would vote to remove
elderly emacs21 entries in depends and just leave

emacs22 | emacsen, pymacs

NB I am not sure if versioning for emacsen is needed -- can't even check if it
desn't work with versions prior 0.22-6 since they are not in any maintained
releases of debian)

I could do NMU, but thought it would be worth again to mention users' interest
in healthy python-mode in Debian, and constant NMUs is not the right way to do
that... Matthias -- do you want help with maintainship of this package? Do you
want to orphan it may be, so interested parties could co-maintain it?
