Experimental is compiled with openmp and will be soon moved to unstable (soon this week I hope sse with nelson). So it will be a partial fix. > When I was running 32-bit, one of the Mepis community packaging team > members compiled a .deb from version 6.4.7-10 source code and it was > roughly equivalent to graphicsmagick-imagemagick-compat at 11% slower, > not 258% slower as is the Lenny/sid version. Thanks for opening a bug report to graphicsmagick-imagemagick-compat but this bug report is quite sparse. I am not a maintainer of this package but I suppose they will need a test case :) Upstream is aking some test case with image :) Could you put two or three images on this bug report, a put the command line used, ant the time used with each version :) Therefore upstream will be happy to close this regression :) Thank you for your time, we really help debian and free software quality.
