With

auto-hibernation always triggers twice in a row. I.e. after power-down, I
plug in the AC and restart the laptop. It resumes successfully but suspends
again immediately. This does not happen the third time. Setting
AUTO_HIBERNATION_BATTERY_CHARGE_PERCENT=-1 fixed the issue.
Note that I use HIBERNATE_COMMAND=/etc/acpi/sleep.sh, which eventually does
STR on this machine.
Thanks for reporting. I have some ideas about what's going on here, but
I'll have to check it out in detail. It's possible that the kernel still
thinks it's on battery just after booting up, or something like that.
Unfortunately I'm not in a position where I can check things out right
now, so I'll have to get back to you later.
I'm going to set this back to normal priority. The reason is that this
is a feature that is not enabled by default, it doesn't cause data loss
(in fact, it still saves your data by hibernating in time -- I'd be more
worried if it didn't), and there's a workaround. This doesn't mean I
don't think it's worth checking out -- it's just in comparison with
other bugs.
Cheers,
Bart
