As Luck Claes highlighted on the debian-devel and debian-release lists, I didn't write about python-iniparse here.
FYI: python-iniparse is also needed to have a working yum, otherwise yum simply stops with an error message complaining about iniparse not being present. So that's why python-iniparse, that has an ITP and that is currently in the debian metors "repository", should be added as Depends.
