Package: courier-imap Version: 4.4.0-2 Severity: wishlist
Currently, courier-imap has a "Conflict: imap-server" in control file. I didn't found information on the reason for this in the debian changelog. I checked with dovecot for example and I can't see any reason other than port conflict. Port conflict can be fixed the way apache does it for example (don't start the service if a program is already listen on imap port). That will ease miration from one imap server to courier-imap or in some complex case allow running different imap server on the same computer with different ports. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fr_FR, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to fr_FR.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages courier-imap depends on: pn courier-authdaemon <none> (no description available) pn courier-base <none> (no description available) ii libc6 2.7-18 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgamin0 [libfam0c102] 0.1.9-2 Client library for the gamin file ii libgdbm3 1.8.3-3 GNU dbm database routines (runtime ii postfix [mail-transport-agent 2.5.5-1.1 High-performance mail transport ag courier-imap recommends no packages.
