Hmm, actually I don't see what needs to be fixed:

The package description from which you quote contains a list of
utilities. One of them is listed as "tofromdos" as this name properly
describes its function. However, as upstream calls its distributed
package "tofrodos" (afaik due to 8.3 filename restrictions in DOS), this
name is listed as well ("... aka tofrodos"). So I consider those two
diverging names one as description and one as canonical name. And I
don't see why a description needs to spelled exactly the same way as a
name it describes.

Anyway, methinks changing the package name "tofrodos" is out of question
as this is how upstream distributes his work. But this is not for me to
decide, for maintenance of that package has long been taken up by
someone else.

Well, and changing this description is out of question as well, since
pretty soon this sysutils package and its description will only exist in
the then-oldstable Debian distribution. In other words, even if I'd
agree to change the spelling right now, such a change wouldn't fit the
rather strict requirements for updating an already-released
distribution. And in a few days it will be utterly impossible to apply
any changes anymore.

Thus, I'll now mark this bugreport "wontfix", as it - well - won't be
possibly fixed.

Cheers,
Flo

PS: This mail is a re-sent mail via webmailer as my previous mail seems to have
been eaten along the way and I don't yet know where and why ...
