if there is still a problem, please send reports to the original bug (which i
have just unarchived). fully reopen the report if you think that is warranted
based on the problems that you are seeing. include information about the
problematic hard disks, the acpi-support version in use, and whether the manual
solution works or not ("hdparm -B 254 /dev/sda").
i believe that ubuntu recently put out a more robust solution, so you may want
to look to see if it works better.
